How to get started with Dichos:
1. Install the app
Add Dichos to your home screen for quick access — just like a regular app. iPhone: Open the app in Safari, tap the share icon at the bottom (square with arrow ↑) and choose 'Add to Home Screen'. Android: Open the app in Chrome, tap the menu icon ⋮ at the top right and choose 'Add to Home screen'.
2. Browse
Every expression has a card with an image, the Spanish phrase and its translation into Norwegian or English. Tap a card to read explanations and hear example dialogues in all three languages.
3. Search and filter
Use the search bar to find expressions in Spanish, Norwegian or English using one or more words, or enter the expression number directly. Filter by verb (Ser, Estar, Dar...), switch sort order with the button next to the search field, or tap the yellow star to see your favorites. The red star shows expressions you have answered incorrectly in a quiz.
4. Listen
Tap the flag icon at the top to hear the expression and the full dialogue read aloud in Spanish, Norwegian or English. You can also replay individual lines by tapping the speaker icon.
5. Quiz
Start a quiz with multiple choice or flashcards. You earn points for each correct answer — wrong answers cost points.
6. Profile
Your profile shows your level, streak (days you have practiced) and your correct-answer percentage from completed quizzes. You also choose your translation language here (Norwegian/English). On the home screen you can also switch to Spanish as the menu language.
7. Invite friends
Share Dichos with friends using the link in your profile. Make sure to enter a valid email address.
